PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof structure of the branching portion of wire harnesses, whereby a highly reliable waterproof structure can surely be obtained with a very simple work, without polluting a working site. SOLUTION: Using as a sealant a gel-like polymer with a clay deformability, the branching portion of wire harnesses is surrounded by the gel-like polymer of the quantity having a overall volume larger than the inner volume of a protector 10 for the wire harnesses. Then, covering the branching portion of the wire harnesses and the gel-like polymer with the protector 10 comprising lower and upper boxes 10A, 10B and joining to each other both the boxes 10A, 10B, the gel-like polymer is deformed to fill it closely into the inside of the protector 10. On the other hand, the excess gel-like polymers are leaked from the clearances surrounding the wire harnesses in their deriving ports of the protector 10. |
