PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To equalize electric power by reducing consumption of power of a cooling device and reduce the cost thereof by using inexpensive midnight electric power so as to cool an object to be cooled quickly and uniformly. SOLUTION: In a cooling device, switching units 12 and 16 are opened, switching units 1g and 17 are closed, and a refrigerant circuit passing through a compressor 1a and a condenser 1b is switched to a heat storage tank 9 to make ice and store heat by the midnight electric power. During the daytime, the refrigerant circuit is switched, and a refrigerant discharged from the compressor 1a is introduced into the heat storage tank 9 so as to melt the ice and supply a cold heat to an air cooler 2 by means of a liquid receiver 1c, an accumulator 1d, and an electronic expansion valve 18. The liquid receiver 1c provided between the condenser 1b and the accumulator 1d absorbs a variation of the quantity of refrigerant resulting from a change in operating conditions. Also, a flow direction of air around an object to be cooled 4 is reversed during a cooling operation. |
