<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode ray tube display device having the power consumption reducing function capable of easily and greatly reducing the power consumption without any special interface. SOLUTION: In a cathode ray tube display device provided with image circuits 1a, 1b to input an image signal (a) from the outside, a deflection circuit 2 in which a synchronizing signal SYNC is inputted to generate the deflection signal, a high voltage circuit 3 to generate a high voltage signal to a cathode ray tube display device 10, a low voltage power supply circuit 4a which is a regular power source, and a high voltage power supply circuit 4b to supply a high voltage power to the high voltage circuit, a timer circuit 5 is further provided, where the timer circuit 5 stops the high power supply (d) by the high voltage power supply circuit 4b when the image signal (a) is absent for at least a prescribed period T, and suppresses the power consumption at a high power consumption part including the high voltage circuit inside the device, in particular, the image circuit 1b, the deflection circuit 2, and the high voltage circuit 3, and greatly reduces the power consumption.</p> |
