PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the effect of noise and improve the accuracy of a collision judgment by feeding an acceleration signal and a signal indicating the reference value of the acceleration signal from an acceleration sensor to microcomputers. SOLUTION: An acceleration signal and a reference value signal indicating the voltage reference of the acceleration signal are fed from an acceleration sensor to microcomputers 14, 28. In a passive safety device 1 for head-on collision, a longitudinal acceleration sensor 13' feeds the longitudinal acceleration signal to the microcomputer 14 via a first filter 41 constituted of an LPF, for example. The reference value signal is likewise fed to the microcomputer 14 via a second filter 42 having the same characteristic as that of the first filter 41. The acceleration signal fed on the time division basis is invariably calculated to obtain a differential value by the microcomputer 14 so that the 0-level of the acceleration signal coincides with the reference value signal, and a collision judgment is accurately made. |
