PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm the liquid quantity in a dispensing probe sucked by the dispensing probe before an analysis by detecting the presence or absence of a liquid in the dispensing probe via the light quantity change. SOLUTION: The light 1a, 1b, 1c from a luminous circuit pass through the inner wall of a dispensing probe and are emitted as detection light 4 from light emission sections 2a, 2b, 2c installed into a spiral shape. The detection light 4 received by light reception sections 3a, 3b, 3c is inputted to a light receiving circuit through the inner wall of the dispensing probe. The inputted signal is converted into the electric signal and inputted to a detecting circuit, and the quantity of light passing through the dispensing probe is detected. When no liquid is sucked into the dispensing probe, the detection light is not refracted, and no detection light is received by the light reception sections 3a, 3b, 3c. After a liquid is sucked, the detection light is refracted by the sucked liquid for the light reception sections 3a, 3b, 3c to the height of the liquid quantity in the dispensing probe, and a light quantity change occurs. |
