<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a distorted image to be outputted from the switching of a resolution upto the completion of decode processing based on resolution setting after the switching in a device to receince and decode intermittent broadcasting of a program of video signals with different resolutions with respect to time. SOLUTION: A storage processing means 6 records a detected resolution. A comparing processing means 5 compares the detected resolution with a resolution, which is detected before storage in the storage processing means 6, and a muting processing means 7 performs muting. At the point when decoding is completed with the switched resolution, an MPEG decoder outputs a decode complete signal to the muting processing means 7 and cancels muting. Thus, output of an distorted image at the switching point of the resolution of image can be prevented.</p> |
