<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the noninterlace scanning conversion method by which scanning line valid even to an oblique edge or line is interpolated and to provide the noninterlace scanning converter. SOLUTION: In the case of converting a video signal of interlace scanning into a voltage of noninterlace scanning, an original pixel selection circuit 102 selects an object of sets of original pixels from which a difference absolute value of pixel values among sets of original pixels in a point symmetry relation around an interpolated pixel, obtains the difference absolute value of the pixel values and corrects the difference absolute value based on edge information of the original pixels. The sets of the corrected original pixels minimizing the difference absolute value are detected, whether or not the detected sets of the original pixels is correct is discriminated, and a filter circuit 114 generates an interpolated pixel by using sets of the original pixels discriminated to be correct.</p> |
