PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce thickening of a coil due to winding and facilitate insertion of a core, by chamfering a corner part of a barrier step provided on one side of a flange of a cylindrical spool and thus forming a round surface. SOLUTION: In order to prevent generation of a step between a barrier step 11 and a spool 8 of a coil bobbin 2, the corner of a corner part 13 of the barrier step 11 is chamfered. Then, a gapβbetween a wire 6 and the barrier step 11 is reduced to increase the contactability between the wire 6 and the barrier step 11. That is, a gapαgenerated in a conventional bobbin and the clearanceβin this bobbin have the relation ofα>β, and this clearance is reduced by chamfering. Thus, thickening due to winding can be minimized. When a core is incorporated, the core may not come into contact with the coil wire and can be easily inserted into the coil bobbin.
