PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate peel-off of a coating resin, by forming a recess on the surface of the coating resin and locating the recess on a plane substantially at right angles with the axial line of a lead terminal. SOLUTION: An electronic component 11 is constituted by a plate-shaped negative thermal coefficient thermistor 12, which is an electronic component body having a pair of terminal electrodes 13 and 14 formed on the facing surfaces, lead terminals 16 and 17 having one ends connected to the terminal electrodes 13 and 14 by a solder 15, and a coating resin 19 covering the negative thermal coefficient thermistor 12 and the lead terminals 16 and 17 except for distal end parts 16a and 17a as the other ends of the lead terminals 16 and 17. A recessed part 20 is formed at a predetermined position on the surface of the coating resin 19 covering the lead terminals 16 and 17. The recess 20 is located substantially at right angles with the axial lines of the lead terminals 16 and 17 and is formed annularly so as to be along the outer circumferences of the lead terminals 16 and 17. As the coating resin 19, a flexible saturation copolymerized polyester resin is used so that the lead terminals 16 and 17 can be easily bent or made apart from each other. |
