PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate electric power in accordance with a required demand load for driving a vehicle in a hybrid vehicle, in which a generator is coupled to an engine and a part of the output from the engine is transmitted to the generator and the rest to the output shaft directly. SOLUTION: An opening α of an accelerator is used as a required demand load. When this opening α of the accelerator is equal to or lower than a given value, a brake B is engaged to fix the number of revolutions of a generator. Meanwhile, the higher the required demand load (the larger the opening αof the accelerator), the larger the consumed power of a motor 4 becomes. Now, if the opening α of the accelerator is equal to or higher tan the given value, the brake B is released for increasing the energy to be generated by increasing the number of revolutions of a generator 3, in proportion to the opening αof the accelerator. |
