PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide infrared signal transmission equipment with which power consumption in the case of a short infrared spatial transmission distance is reduced while using a comparatively simple method and the saturation of signals on the side of reception can be avoided. SOLUTION: This transmission equipment is composed of a camera 1 with integrated VTR having a light emitting means for converting an electric signal to an infrared signal so that a video signal and/or audio signal is superimposed on infrared rays, converted to an infrared AV transmission signal 2 and transmitted in a prescribed direction and an infrared signal reception unit 3 for receiving this infrared AV transmission signal and transmits/receives signals through spatial transmission based on infrared rays. In this case, the distance is measured from the level of an infrared pilot signal 5, and the output of the infrared AV signal 2 transmitted by the camera 1 with integrated VTR is controlled corresponding to the measured distance. |
