PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rotate an image with a simple and inexpensive constitution by allowing a rotation control part to repeat a series of control which rotates only the size portion of an image memory among data decoded line-by-line from an image memory and stores it in the image memory. SOLUTION: A rotation control part 11 of facsimile equipment F with an image rotating function successively decodes encoded data in an image memory 4 line-by-line by CODEC 6, and rotates only four bits (x) in the former half of each line matched with the number of lines (four lines) of an image memory 5 to store in the memory 5. Then, after encoding this to return to another area in the memory 4, the part 11 decodes each line of the memory 4 again, rotates only four bits (y) of the latter half of each line this time to house in the memory 5 and encodes this to return into the memory 4. |
