PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the communication cost considerably by allowing the communication server to transfer a FAX document received from a client to other communication server closer to a FAX document destination not through a public telephone network requiring a higher cost but through other network and allowing the other communication server to send the FAX document to the destination. SOLUTION: A destination of FAX transmission is registered in advance to a communication server having a transmission destination discrimination section 18, a destination revision section 21, a transfer discrimination information table 22, a FAX transfer discrimination section 19 and a mail discrimination section 20. Thus, a client has only to make transmission of an electronic mail, then the electronic mail is sent with a FAX document. A 1st communication server 1 transfers the FAX received from the client to other communication server closer to a FAX destination not through a public telephone network 6 requiring a high cost but through other network 5, and the other communication server sends the FAX to the destination. |
