SOLUTION: A fluid removing system for removing the carrier liquid from the surface of an image supporting member includes an absorption roller 76 provided with a core 104 made of rigid fluid impermeable material and an absorption layer 102 surrounding the core 104 and fluidly communicating with a developed image 4, and an absorption system 90 impressing negative voltage on the roller 76 and fluidly communicating with the roller 76.
