摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exchange a light source without opening a boxy body and to easily form a relatively large-sized illumination surface uniformly light emitting by providing a light incident end on its one end and a light outgoing end on its the other end of an optical fiber of a light emission body and providing at least one optical fiber and a light leakage means on a linear light emission body in the light transmission space of the boxy body. SOLUTION: This illuminator is provided with the light emission body consisting of the optical fiber 2 arranged in the light transmission space 10 and the light leakage means light leaking the light supplied to the optical fiber 2 from the side surface of the optical fiber 2 to the light transmission space 10. This illuminator contains a light uniformizing means so as to obtain nearly uniform luminance over a whole area of a light emission surface 11 by the light leaked from the light emission body. The optical fiber 2 is provided with the light incident end 21 placed on one end of the optical fiber 2 and communicated with the outside of the boxy body 1 and the light outgoing end placed on the other end of the optical fiber 2 and communicated with the outside of the boxy body 1. The light leakage means is arranged on a part of the peripheral surface of the optical fiber 2 nearly along the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber 2.
