The safety device is composed of a casing (3) containing a spring (2) with a plate (4) at its base. When the rod (5) moves the plate it compresses the spring. When the door (6) is at a distance from the ground, a counterweight (7) pull the chain (1) driving the plate and compress the spring. This reduces the pressure on the bottom of the door.
