PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a sure warm-up operation at an optimum time matched with the state of a rotary member. SOLUTION: A thermistor 208 for detecting a surface temp. is arranged in the vicinity of the surface of a heating roller in a fixing unit. Further, a microcomputer capable of detecting the surface temp. of the heating roller by the thermistor 208 after an arbitrary time lapses from the start of the rotation of two rollers, during a warm-up operation, so as to change or set the completion temp. of the warm-up operation, based on the result of the detection is arranged in a control unit 205. When the surface temp. of the heating roller reaches the completion temp. of the warm-up operation, a motor 206 is stopped. |
