摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric converting element free of the possibility of electrolyte leakage, minimized in characteristic deterioration with the lapse of time, and superior in durability by providing a hole transporting layer containing an organic hole transporting agent on a photoelectric converting element using semiconductor fine particles sensitized by a pigment. SOLUTION: In this photoelectric converting element, an organic hole transporting agent is preferably an aromatic tertiary amine compound with a molecular weight of 1,000 or more. In this light regenerating type photoelectric chemical battery, such a photoelectric converting element is preferably used. A pigment sensitized photoelectric converting element is preferably formed of a conductive support body, a semiconductor fine particle layer (photosensitive layer) having a pigment adsorbed thereto applied on the conductive support body, a hole transporting layer containing an organic hole transporting layer, and a counter electrode. As the conductive support body, a support body which itself is conductive such as a metal, or a glass or a plastic support body having a conductive layer on the surface can be used, and in the case of the latter, the conductive agent preferably consists of a metal, carbonic, or a conductive metal oxide.
