PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an external device to recognize information of an operating state including paper size information of one page of image data entered or outputted actually during execution of image input/output in the image input/ output device that inputs/outputs an image in page unit according to an instruction from the external device. SOLUTION: A processing request based on an instruction from an external device is received to generate a session consisting of an image input job and an output job (steps S601, S602), and the image input job and the image output job by means of a printer are executed (S603-S608, 609-614). During execution of the image output job, the external device is informed of the job operation state including the size of a paper printed and discharged at the end of print of one page (S612). |
