CALLER NUMBER DISPLAY METHOD IN DIGITAL CORDLESS TELEPHONE SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display correctly a telephone number of a caller on a slave set while keeping compatibility with a conventional master set-slave set display system connecting to an analog line without a caller number notice function. SOLUTION: A master set CS sends a setup message whose outgoing subaddress has caller number information to a personal handy phone system PHS slave set PS, and the PHS slave set PS displays a caller telephone number in the outgoing subaddress on a display window 11, a control block 8 (consisting of a microcomputer and a memory device) executes a call control sequence with an ISDN channel 1 with an S/T interface circuit 3 to obtain caller number information from the setup at the arrival of an incoming call so as to correctly display the caller telephone number on the slave set PS while keeping compatibility with the master-slave set display system connecting to a conventional analog line without a caller number notice function. Then the control block 8 executes a call control sequence between the master set CS and the PHS slave set PS by using a base band processing circuit 6 to set the caller number information to the outgoing subaddress so as to control the transmission of the setup message to the PHS slave set PS.
