PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely make a shift from the synchronous operation to the position detecting operation by detecting the change in a state between one state wherein the level of the inverter mode and that of a rotating position detection signal are opposite to each other and the other state wherein these levels are the same and controlling an inverter based on the detection result. SOLUTION: After a brushless DC motor 11 is started up into a synchronous operation by an inverter 20, the rotating position of a rotor 10 is detected and then the inverter is controlled based on the detection result. During this period, a state change detecting means detects the change in the state between one state wherein the level of the inverter mode and that of a rotating position detecting signal are opposite to each other state and the other state wherein these levels are the same. After the state change detecting means detects that the levels of the inverter mode and the rotating position detecting signal are back in the state before the state change, it controls the inverter based on the detected rotating position. By this method, the shift from the synchronous operation to the position detecting operation can be surely executed. |
