摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system capable of eliminating brightness unevenness by causing light beams from a light source to be dispersed uniformly in the form of a plane. SOLUTION: A light beam emitted by a cathode-ray tube 2 impinges, either directly or via a first reflector, from a light incidence part 5a formed at one end of each light guide part 5d constituting the light guide plate 5, propagates through each light guide part 5d, and emits from a light emitting part 5b made of an inclined surface formed at the other end of each light guide part 5d. Thus the light beam impinging from the light incidence part 5a of each light guide part 5d is preserved as it propagates through each light guide part 5a, and is emitted from each light emitting part 5b, so that uniform outgoing light beams can be obtained in X direction perpendicular to Y direction in which the light guide parts 5d extend, so that the front surface 52 of the light guide plate 5 can be illuminated uniformly.
