<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix noxious heavy metal, etc., into a vitrified slug so as to make it harmless, by providing an oxygen mixer at a plurality of tuyeres provided under a coke head, and also, providing a pure oxygen blow-in port right above a dreg outlet, and further, arranging a combustion burner over the topside of a sedimentary layer within a furnace. SOLUTION: A plurality of input ports 2 and 2' for incinerated ash and carbonic fuel such as coke, etc., are provided above the furnace body 1 of a vertical furnace 4 for fusing incinerated ash, and also a plurality of tuyeres 3 and 3' for blowing in oxygen enriching air are provided at the flank of the lower part of the furnace body 1. Moreover, this is of such constitution as to automatically control and blow in oxygen enriching air of 21-40% in oxygen concentration, and besides a pure oxygen blow-in port 7 is arranged right above a dreg outlet 6 opened in the bottom 5 of the furnace. Then, a combustion burner 10 is arranged over the topside of the sedimentary layer 9 of incinerated ash, coke, etc. Hereby, the fusion band 11 on the bottom 5 of the furnace is heated to ultrahigh temperature to above 2000 deg.C to raise fusion capacity, and incinerated ash and flying ash is made into fused slug to make it harmless.</p> |
