PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage the vision of a text, drawing or the like constituting the project of a manual or the like, and to manage arbitrary versions as a related group. SOLUTION: A table of a certain product manual (a first edition) is composed of the a project-constituting-element name, file name, edition update mode, and version number. When an edition update mode is a certified mode, the version number in a table is fixed, and when the edition update mode is an automatic update mode, editions is advanced, and when a new version is prepared, the version number is updated. The V2 and V1 of a table of contents and the V2 and V1 of the first chapter or the like described at the upper part of the figure indicate the registered state of each version information table (not shown in the figure). In the case of the table of contents, up to the V2 are prepared, and the version number is fixed to the V1 in the certified mode in the table, and in the case of the first chapter, when the V2 is prepared, the version number is updated to the V2 in the automatic update mode in the table, and each time the new version is prepared, the version number is updated until the automatic update mode is changed to the certified mode.
