PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform positioning for the θ-directional tilt of an optical fiber with high precision. SOLUTION: The optical fiber 100 is held at a hold part, a scan with an ultraviolet-ray beam is made at 100 μm/sec. from coordinates (X11 , Y11 ) to coordinates (X11 , Y12 ) to detect a peak Y coordinate Y13 , at 10 μm/sec from coordinates (X11 , Y13 -1 mm) to coordinates X11 , Y13 +1 mm) to detect a peak Y coordinate Y14 , and at 1 μm/sec from coordinates (X11 , Y14 -0.1 mm) to coordinates (X11 , Y13 +0.1 mm) to detect a peak Y coordinate Y15 , thereby obtaining detected values (X11 , Y15 ) of position coordinates of the optical fiber 100. Similarly, Y coordinates of the optical fibers 100 are obtained at the position of a coordinate X12 to obtain position coordinates (X11 , Y25 ). On the basis of those detected coordinates (X11 , Y15 ) and (X21 , Y25 ), the θ-directional tilt of the optical fiber 100 is calculated and on the basis of the calculation result, the hold position of the optical fiber 100 is corrected. |
