PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a raw material, on which powder (e.g. hydrogen storage alloy powders) layers including a binder in a plane shape carrier is adhered, high density by rolling, without generating surface cracks. SOLUTION: (a) A multiple layered roll 5 is used, which is provided with an inner layer 3 of a low modulus of elasticity around a core material 2 and a layer with a high modulus of elasticity on its outside, or (b) rolling is performed by having a high modulus of elasticity material sheet 6 interposed between the roll 5 and a raw material using the roll 5 such that the low modulus of elasticity material 3 is arranged around the core material 2. |
