PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen storage alloy electrode having a high capacity and superior cycle characteristic by improving a hydrogen storage alloy with a body-centered cubic structure with V as a basis. SOLUTION: This electrode is represented by formula V1-a-b-c-d Tia Crb Mc Ld (where M is least one element selected from among a group consisting of Mn, Fe, Co, Cu, Nb, Zn, Zr, Mo, Ag, Hf, Ta, W, Al, Si, C, N, P, and B. L is at least one element selected among groups consisting of are earth elements and Y, 0.2<=a<=0.5, 0.1<=b<=0.4, 0<=c<=0.2, 0<d<=0.03) and consists of hydrogen storage alloy powders with a body-centered cubic crystal structure. The alloy powders preferably are have Ni dispersed layers on their surfaces. |
