PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery having an excellent shut-down function and a safer separator without occurring a total melting or a melting crack in case of a shut-down. SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte battery contains at least a positive electrode plate 1, a negative electrode plate 2, a separator 3, and an organic electrolytic solution in a battery case 4. The separator 3 comprises a polyimide porous substance and a polyolefine porous substance. In the separator 3, the polyolefine porous substance is disposed to both sides of the polyimide porous substance and the polyimide porous substance is disposed to both sides of the polyolefine porous substance. |
