PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orthogonal transformation small in circuit scale and capable of executing magnification/reduction by using a currently used orthogonal transformer without requiring an orthogonal transformer different in order newly. SOLUTION: N-dimensional input data 11 are sequenced for each dimension by a sequencing means 12 in accordance with control information from a transformation information control means 15 and data unnecessary for orthogonal transformation are made 0. The orthogonal transformation is applied to the sequenced data by an orthogonal transformation means 13, a level adjustment is applied to the converted data by the level adjusting means 14 and n-dimensional output data 17 are obtained. Also, the transformation information control means 15 can perform the orthogonal transformation, if order of each dimension of an input and an output is a divisor of the maximum order that can perform the orthogonal transformation at each dimension, by being constituted that a pattern for sequencing of the sequencing means 12 and a level adjustment value of the level adjusting means 14 are decided from order of the n-dimensional input data 11, order of the n-dimensional output data 17 and transformation information 16 of the maximum order for each dimension that is orthogonal-transformable in the orthogonal transformation means 13. |
