PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method for deciding the inside/outside of an area by which calculation is simplified and process time is shortened. SOLUTION: It is decided whether or not a given point p=(Xp, Yp) is included in the area surrounded by a polygon A formed by connecting a given dot array qi (i=1 to Ntot) by straight lines. Therefor, the segment p po connecting a point po which is known to be outside the area and a point p is considered. The number of sides qi qi+1 of the polygon crossing the segment p po is calculated to decide that the point p is outside the area when the number of crossing sides is even and it is inside the area when the number is odd. |
