PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically sample the optimum measured data with respect to a required reference value, by setting a sampling range for the reference value and its neighborhood, measured data within the sampling range, and required measured data from the sampled data. SOLUTION: A CPU(Central Processing Unit) 12 stores measured data of inspected objects 20 by a sensor 22 to a measured data memory 24 and an auxiliary image is shown in a display part 18 by a measured data display controller 28. According to the image, an operator inputs requirements in an entry- field such as a method name, a reference axis, a sampling axis, sampling points, a noise level, a sampling number and sorting of data in the case of inputting a plurality of data by a sampling method setting part 16. Then a measured data sampling controller 26 reads out measured data with respect to the reference axis and the sampling axis and judges that the measured data is within standard widthΔS from a reference value S or not. As a result, even if a plurality of measured data by noise exist in the proximity of the reference value S, it is possible that the optimum sampling data is obtained from the measured data within the specified standard widthΔS.
