PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of uniformly regulating unevenness of the developer layer arising when allowed to descend down through a deflecting blade in the different tilt direction, and hardly causing the printing density unevenness. SOLUTION: This device is provided with developer deflecting means 8 allowing the powder developer 15b detached from the developer carrier 5, to descend down in guiding by the deflecting blade 8a tilting to one end side in the lengthwise direction of the developer carrier and the deflecting blade 8b tilting to the other end side in the lengthwise direction of the developer carrier, a guiding member 9 guiding the developer allowed to pass through the developer deflecting means 8 in the specific direction, and a controlling member 17 supported in forming a specified space with respect to the developer guiding surface on the guiding member 9, making the layer thickness of the developer shifting on the developer guiding surface, and moreover, the controlling member 17 is provided with the projecting part 17a butting to the thick region of the developer layer, among the developer discharged on the developer guiding surface, and the convex part 17b opposite to the region where the developer layer is thin. |
