<p>The ratio of the enlargement or reduction of an image is set by a divider from a writing range and a reading range. Interpolation in accordance with the enlargement ratio is practiced by a horizontal interpolation circuit and a vertical interpolation circuit and interpolation in accordance with the reduction ratio is practiced by a horizontal interpolation circuit and a vertical interpolation circuit. In a field memory, the part of the image at an arbitrary position with an arbitrary size is written in accordance with a control signal supplied from a writing memory control circuit.
