A display comprising a serial interface adapter (2) disposed between a PC (3) and a CPU (10) in the display, thereby converting communication information in either interface specification of the PC (3) and the display to the other. Via the serial interface adapter (2), the display can carry out communication with any computer. The serial interface adapter (2) is detachably disposed in the front panel of the display, and can be easily replaced by another according to the interface specifications of the PC.
