摘要 The drive to release the cover flap (12) is formed by a lifting device (19), which is integrated in the airbag housing (16). The device is charged by a part flow of the gas, which is discharged by a gas generator (17) when airbag release is triggered. The lifting device is connected directly or indirectly to the gas generator. It consists of a cylinder with a gas pressure-charged surface (20) forming part of the housing wall.
