A lithium ion secondary battery which can maintain an electric connection between electrodes without using a strong outer-packaging can and which can be formed into the one with a high energy density or a small thickness and which has an excellent charging and discharging characteristic. The lithium ion secondary battery has a plurality of electrode laminates (8), each of which is made by airtightly adhering a positive pole (3) with a positive active material layer (7) and a positive collector (6), a negative pole (5) with a negative active material layer (9) and a negative collector (10), and a separator (4) which is located between the positive and the negative electrodes and is impregnated with an electrolytic solution including lithium ions, by joining the positive active material layer (7) and the negative active material layer (9) to the separator (4) with porous adhesive resin layers (11), and by keeping an electrolytic solution in through-holes (12) which pass through the positive active material layer (7), the negative active material layer (9) and the separator (4) which are formed between the adhesive resin layers (11). |
