Cosmetic aerosol fixative composition providing shine, and methods

A pressurised aerosol cosmetic hair care preparation comprising (a) a liquid component comprising, in a suitable medium, at least one fixative polymer (I) and at least 5 wt. % on total weight of the composition of an aryl silicone (II) and (b) at least one propellant (III). Preferably (I) is present in concentrations of 0.1-20 (1-10) (2-8) wt. % on total composition. (II) is present in concentrations of 5-40 (7- 30) wt. % on total composition (a)+(b) and in concentrations of 10-40 (15-30) wt. % on the liquid component (a). The fixative polymer (I) is chosen e.g. from known anionic, cationic, amphoteric and nonionic polymers or mixtures of these. The propellant is used e.g. in amounts of 5-90 (15-70) wt. % on total composition (a)+(b).
