The invention relates to a method for cleaning foundry forming tools by means of ultrasound. The inventive method provides for the production of a receptacle using at least one foundry forming tool that is to be cleaned. Said receptacle is filled with cleaning fluid and subsequently treated with ultrasound. The invention also relates to a method for producing die-cast pieces. According to said method, liquid casting material is cast in an inventively cleaned foundry forming tool and removed therefrom after hardening. The invention also relates to the use of an inventive device in carrying out the inventive method. The invention further relates to a component containing at least one inventively cleaned die-moulded part, in addition to a motor vehicle containing at least one corresponding component. Finally, the invention relates to a method for producing motor vehicles or bodies by assembling components, whereby at least one corresponding component is used.
