Transporting lock for chain tensioner

The transporting lock has a shock absorbing piston (3) in a guide boring (2). A connection ring (8) is fitted between the piston and the casing (1). The ring acts with grooves (9,17,13) in the casing and the piston and with attachments (11,,10,14) to prevent unwanted sinking of the piston in the casing. The ring can be stressed between two fittings (12,16) on the casing and on the piston. These fittings are angled to the piston axis. The receiving groove (17) has a cylindrical sector to which the conical fitting is directly attached.
