<p>A process for preparing a conductive polymer is described. The process comprises reacting under polymerization conditions and in the presence of a reaction medium, a conductive polymer precursor, a strong acid, and a chlorate salt or chloric acid and an iron salt. It has surprisingly been discovered that this combination of oxidants promotes higher yields of the conductive polymer than either the chlorate salt or chloric acid or the iron salt.</p> |
