FIELD: location and determination of dimensions of damage to hull of vessel, places of ignition and transmission of alarm signals to operators. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes distribution system of synthetic fibers placed close to hull of vessel and connected to central unit. Central unit is intended for transmission of optical signals to both ends of each optical fibre and for measurement of dimensions of holes or breakages in hull of vessel.
