The solar protection responds to variation in sunlight, and has inbuilt intelligence (6) which decomposes movement of the shades into two stages, separated by a time interval. A 'STOP' command issued during the time interval initiates the next stage, and reduces stored value of this interval. The same command issued during the movement stage increases the stored duration of this stage.
