The roller body (1) is rotatable on the outer end of a bent metal rod (2), at the other end of which is a hand grip (3). The device has a scraper component (4) for paint removal from the roller body. The scraper has a recess with a circularly curved edge and can be moved between two positions. The scraper component can be moved from a position in which the metal bar is located inside the recess to one in which the roller body is inside the recess, in order then to be moved in an axial direction along the outer surface of the roller body.
