<p>A disk drive comprising a housing (21) accommodating a disk that stores information and a disk driving means which includes a spindle motor (26) to rotate the disk. The housing (21) is constituted from a base (22) at the lower side and a cover (23) at the upper side. The spindle motor (26) has a pair of first bearing means (26-2) that support the disk rotatably and a first fixed shaft (26-1) that fixes the first bearing means in a predetermined position inside said housing (21). The first fixed shaft (26-1) is constructed to be fitted into the base (22) and fastened by means of rivetting or caulking, the base and cover being made of press-formed iron or steel. <IMAGE></p>
