PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a brake assisting function by employing mechanical control in place of electric control. SOLUTION: A brake device has a brake hydraulic pressure generator B, which force-feeds brake hydraulic pressure to a wheel-controlling wheel cylinder WC in response to the operation of a brake pedal BP. The operation of the brake pedal BP is transmitted via a first and a second operating rods RD1, RD2. A damper is axially inserted in the second operating rod RD2. The damper makes the amount of operation of the brake pedal BP smaller the slower the speed of operating the brake pedal BP, the amount of operation being transmitted thereto via the second operating rod RD2. |
