<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a molding process and stabilize quality by forming a head by a composite material formed of reinforced metal. SOLUTION: A composite material of reinforced metal taking titanium or titanium alloy taking particles of alumina or TiC as reinforcing material as a matrix is used as metal base material to form a head 1 in which a ball hitting part 2 and a hosel part 3 are integrated. The face 2a of the ball hitting part 2 has a loft angle according to each count, and a recessed part 4 is formed on the back face 2b side to be formed like a cavity. The sole face 2c side is buldged to be comparatively wide and thick. The head 1 is formed by filling the cavity of a forming mold with head forming material to injection mold a head green body, removing a binder by heat treatment, and sintering. The head forming material is a mixture of particles with large and small particle diameters, so that the head can be formed as a porous structure so as to improve a ball hitting feel and stabilize quality.</p> |
