PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an oil pressure control with the same control logic even if the running condition differs, for example in power-on state, power-off state, etc., and prevent prolongation of the shift time even when the accelerator pedal is loosened from the power-on state. SOLUTION: In case changing-over to the power-off state takes place while the power-on operation continues, the release side oil pressure PA drops steeply along with the drop of the input torque by means of feedback control based upon the gear ratio change amount. If the release side oil pressure has dropped below the return spring load pressure PG of the hydraulic servo or if the reference value is not attained within the specified period in the condition that the gear ratio till completion of shifting does not proceed to the specified rate (starting of final period control; reference value), the controlling mode is changed over so that the engage side oil pressure PB is the object for control, and the engage side oil pressure rises as shown by the dotted line and the down-shifting is progressed. |
