PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the displacement of the tread of a vehicular pedal when an external force not smaller than a predetermined value works on the front part of a vehicle. SOLUTION: A pedal bracket 26 is split into a first pedal bracket 28 secured to a vehicle body and a second pedal bracket 30 supporting a mounting bolt 88 on axis, the mounting bolt 88 serving as the axis of oscillation of a brake pedal 10. A slide plate 66 having a guide surface 66A is placed behind the rear end portion 30A of the second pedal bracket 30, and if a dash panel 16 and the slide plate 66 are displaced relative to each other, the rear end portion 30A is rotated and displaced roughly to the lower side of the vehicle as it slides along the guide surface 66A. Therefore, the pedal pad 70 of the brake pedal 10 is also displaced roughly to the front side of the vehicle. |
