PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an automatic transmission of such a configuration that engagement and release of two friction engaging elements are oil-hydraulically controlled at the same time, in which change in the shift time is corrected while the balance over the oil pressures on the engage side and the release side is well secured. SOLUTION: The actual supply oil pressure to a friction engaging element on the release side is sensed by a sensor, while the shift time in the same shifting at the previous run is read (S1). The correction value for correcting the nominal oil pressure on the engage side is set (S2) by reference to the map which stores the correction values in accordance with the release side oil pressure and the shift time. The engage side nominal oil pressure at the previous shifting is corrected with the obtained correction value, and the result from correction is used as the nominal oil pressure on the engage side in the shifting at this time (S3). |
