A new and useful device for connecting an eavestrough downspout having a first cross-section, to a drainage extension having a second cross-section, wherein ea ch of the first cross-section and the second cross-section may be any cross-section chosen from the group consisting of round, square, square with rounded corners, rectangular and rectan gular with rounded corners. The device comprises a first portion of pipe having an entrance means of a size sufficient for receiving an end of the downspout irrespectice of the firs t cross-section and a second portion of pipe having an exit means of a size sufficient for inser tion into an end of the drainage extension irrespective of the second cross-section. The firs t portion is connected to the second portion remote from the entrance means and the exit mean s and the device further comprises fastening means to fasten the first portion to the down spout and the second portion to the drainage extension and arranged so that in use, water flow s from the downspout to the extension through the device without leaking.
